Holy threequels, Batman! Warner Bros. officially announced the release date of the most anticipated movie of the new decade as July 20, 2012. That's exactly 4 years after "The Dark Knight" grossed an unprecedented $533 million domestically and over a billion worldwide. No word yet on the cast, but expect Christopher Nolan at the helm...unless WB insists on 3-D...which Nolan has publicly opposed.

If Christopher Nolan manages to raise his Batman Series once again to a new level then he got all my respect and admiration. He truly is a great director/movie-maker.
